Rusty Hassell

Hello, my name is Rusty, and Point has been a part of my life in one way or another since day one. Both of my parents, Chuck Hassell ’81 and Tammy Henderson Hassell ’80, graduated from Point, so it just seemed like the natural decision to transfer there in 2007 after attending two other institutions. During my time at Point I was highly involved in several areas including our men’s soccer team and served as a Campus Life Minister my senior year. In May of 2009 I received my bachelor of science diploma in business administration with minors in biblical studies and sports management and completed my M.S. in sports management in 2016.

Upon graduation, I spent time working for Christian Financial Resources, Inc., teaching, and even working as an admissions representative at another institution. In July 2011, I rejoined Point as the Athletic Admission Counselor and became Director of Admission in December of 2014. Coming back to work at Point has allowed me to combine my passions of sports and students in a way that I am able to serve Christ. Point has impacted my life in ways that can’t be confined to this short bio, but every day I go to work knowing that I am truly blessed to be a part of the Point story and ministry.
